H - As in Clint Eastwood

Welcome to day eight of the A to Z Challenge. If you're here for the first time or if you've forgotten already, this year's theme is movies! I am posting a quote, a character or two, and a brief synopsis of a movie for each letter. You then get to guess the movie in the comments. Answers will be revealed in the following day's post.

Answer to G: Gone in 60 Seconds

It's time for letter H. I had trouble narrowing this one down. There are quite a few SciFi and Fantasy movies for H; The Hobbit (all three), Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Hancock, Highlander (the first one), the Hunger Games. H also has a very good movie based on one of my favorite books of all time, The Hunt for Red October. So, now that you know which movies I didn't choose for today, let's get to the clues.

Just because we're holding hands doesn't mean we'll be taking warm showers together until the wee hours of the morning. - Clint Eastwood as Gunny Highway

Gunnery Sergeant Highway has a problem with authority when he feels that he's smarter than them, which is nearly always.

Highway's punishment is to lead a band of misfits through training without getting them or himself killed in the process. The movie is a little formulaic and predictable, but it's Clint Eastwood. that usually means goodness. This is no exception.

Guess away cinefiles!
